Christmas Hamper List for 2013
Here is the schedule of what we need to collect. Everything you donate is deeply appreciated, and we really do a great job at TMUC of making sure 10 families have a good Christmas.
Please check the “best before” date on items. We cannot include things that are out of date or open.
Although there is nothing wrong with bulk items, they cannot go in a hamper - this includes pasta and leftover Halloween candy.
November 10 – Nutty? Fishy? Bean there! (peanut butter, canned tuna in water, canned beans)
November 17 – Rise ‘n Shine! (dry cereals, oatmeal, pancake mix, pancake syrup, and jam)
November 24 – Canny – Uncanny (bagged pasta, rice, boxed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, stuffing, pasta sauce, soup, canned vegetables, fruit and cranberry sauce)
December 1 – Sweet Treats – (jello, cake mixes, cookies, candy canes and bagged candy)
December 8 – Wash Up and Wash Down – (dish soap, juice, coffee and tea) We are not asking for sugar this year – we have already received donations of what we require.
The gift list will be available soon. Once we know the genders and ages for each family, a sign up list for gifts and turkeys will be distributed through the congregation on Sundays. Keep in mind when signing up for a gift - it needs to be new with a value of $15-$20 and unwrapped. For teenagers, a good suggestion is a movie gift certificate. All gifts will need to be dropped off at the church by December 15 as that is hamper packing day.
Monetary Donations will also be happily accepted at the church office for the hampers, since there are often overlooked items that we need to purchase. Envelopes marked “Hampers” will be at the back of the church or in the office.
Any questions - please contact the church office 204.222.1331 or
